Will you Trust GOD, even if it HURTS? | Life-Lesson

prettyToday, as I was praying I began to ask GOD to reveal himself not only to me — but to Christian’s worldwide. I know that sometimes it can be easy for Christians to get consumed in the cares of this life such as…

  • School
  • Education
  • Jobs
  • Finances
  • Family
  • Friends
  • Etc

In all fairness, I must admit that I too must sometimes re-align my focus when my attention is drawn elsewhere apart from seeking the will and the plan of GOD for my life.

Today was one of those “re-alignment” days.

So as I continued to pray, I began to ask GOD to show me the things that he desires for me to see and to teach me the things that he desire for me to know.

I asked him for a sign, for a confirmation, for assurance — not just in my life but in everything that I do, Including this blog.

In today’s society, If you talk about things such as

  • End Time
  • Conspiracy
  • Bible Prophecy

ebola-strainYou are basically labeled a “Fruit Loop” or “Nut Case” by society and are thereby cast out of the circle of popular influence and isolated as if you have a confirmed case of Ebola.

This is what happened to me.

My friends stopped associating themselves with me, they no longer call, they no longer text, they no longer tell me “Happy Birthday”.

I have even had friends that I have known since the FOURTH GRADE unfriend me or block me on Facebook.

Why?

streetBecause I believe, trust, and STAND on the Bible as the revealed word of GOD.

Although this initially didn’t bother me, with each passing day it seemed as if the chasm separating me from everyone else grew larger and larger — wider and wider.

“GOD, What have I done? Am I doing something wrong?”

This was continually my prayer, but no answer.

As time progressed, more and more people began to distance themselves from me.

Not just that, but more and more friends unfriended me, and more and more family ex-communicated me.

“Are you there GOD?”

Still no answer.

(Have you ever gotten to a point where you looked around and felt as if you didn’t have a friend in the WORLD?)

This is how I felt.

My heart was broken, my spirit was crushed.

“What have I done to deserve this?
Am I that bad of a person?”

stressedIn a desperate plea, I poured out my heart in one intense prayer.

It was then that GOD spoke to my heart and brought to my mind a passage that had somehow gotten lost in the shuffle of my own confusion.

(Luke 6:22)  “Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man’s sake.”

(Luke 6:23)  “Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.”

When I remembered the scripture, It was as if the ground beneath my feet had been restored. So I quickly picked up my Bible, found the scripture, and began to read it aloud.

Immediately as i finished reading the passage — my heart regained strength.

Although that scripture alone was enough to give me strength, The holy-spirit wasn’t done just yet….

(Matthew 10:24)  “The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.”

(Matthew 10:25)  “It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?”

(Matthew 10:26)  “Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.”

Conclusion:

As Christians, we must realize that we are not immune to persecution and rejection.

– Just as the world rejected Jesus, it will also reject us.
– Just as the world hated Jesus, It will also hate us.
– Just as the world killed Jesus, it will also kill us.

carry-crossbecause we are human, we will have our moments of weakness. But thankfully we don’t have to rely on our strength alone.

GOD is our strength and our hope, his strength is made perfect in our weakness
(2 Corinthians 12:9).

Because of our weakness, we sometimes want GOD to answer every prayer right away and to rescue us immediately from our affliction — but sometimes GOD suffers us to be persecuted and afflicted, not because he hates us — but because he loves us.

GOD knows that sometimes in order for us to reach the place that he has prepared for us in him, we must sometimes go through things. And despite what it may feel like at the moment, our persecutions will not kill us but will strengthen us and prepare us for GOD’s greater anointing.
