The Fight against ISIS: Not Going So Well?

Since the emergence of ISIS roughly two years ago, Americans were initially assured that ISIS was not a real threat. The Obama Administration made sure that Americans knew this by comparing the [then-small] organization to a “Jayvee Team” who is simply putting on the big-boy jerseys and pretending to be tough.

However as time marched on, it became undeniably obvious that this radical Islamic army was a far bigger problem than the Administration would lead us to believe.

The organization continued to grow in size and influence until — BOOM — they had taken over Iraq and half of Syria. They have gotten so big in fact, that they now have enough territory to create their own COUNTRY — They are calling it the Islamic State.

However they are not stopping there, they claim that they will soon engulf all of Iraq and Syria.

Nevertheless, Once the threat became too big to ignore, the Obama Administration then blamed the intelligence staff — claiming that they did not inform them of how serious the threat was.

However news was later released that shows that the President and his Administration was overwhelmingly aware of the growing size and influence of ISIS, yet chose not to address it.

Not long after, The President launched an air-campaign to “degrade and ultimately destroy” ISIS, and since the initiation of the air-strikes — America has [allegedly] been performing various precision-point air-attacks that have been successful — or so we thought.

US operatives say the Battle against ISIS is worse than we know

centcomAccording to reports, 50+ Intelligence agents currently working out of the U.S. Central Command have formally complained that their intelligence (Information on the middle-eastern conflict as well as the growth and expansion of ISIS) is being inappropriately “altered” by certain Senior Officials who were ‘hand-picked’ by the Obama Administration to occupy those positions.

The complaints were so numerous in fact that it prompted a serious investigation by the Pentagon’s Inspector general.

As reported by the Daily Beast:

“More than 50 intelligence analysts working out of the U.S. military’s Central Command have formally complained that their reports on ISIS and al Qaeda’s branch in Syria were being inappropriately altered by senior officials, The Daily Beast has learned.

The complaints spurred the Pentagon’s inspector general to open an investigation into the alleged manipulation of intelligence.

The fact that so many people complained suggests there are deep-rooted, systemic problems in how the U.S. military command charged with the war against the self-proclaimed Islamic State assesses intelligence.”

According to the Daily Beast, Two Senior analysts at CENTCOM (Central Command) signed a written complaint that was sent to the DoD (Department of Defense) inspector general in July.

The complaint was supported by 50 other analysts, many of whom felt that certain officials were politicizing their Intelligence in order to fit the President’s narrative that America is “winning” the war against ISIS despite the fact that they organization continues to expand.

The Article Continues:

“Two senior analysts at CENTCOM signed a written complaint sent to the Defense Department inspector general in July alleging that the reports, some of which were briefed to President Obama, portrayed the terror groups as weaker than the analysts believe they are. The reports were changed by CENTCOM higher-ups to adhere to the administration’s public line that the U.S. is winning the battle against ISIS and al Nusra, al Qaeda’s branch in Syria, the analysts claim.”

“Some of those CENTCOM analysts described the sizeable cadre of protesting analysts as a “revolt” by intelligence professionals who are paid to give their honest assessment, based on facts, and not to be influenced by national-level policy. The analysts have accused senior-level leaders, including the director of intelligence and his deputy in CENTCOM, of changing their analyses to be more in line with the Obama administration’s public contention that the fight against ISIS and al Qaeda is making progress. The analysts take a more pessimistic view about how military efforts to destroy the groups are going.”
