PARIS — French Authorities said Wednesday that they thwarted an upcoming terror attack on local Churches when they received a phone call from an Algerian man who accidentally shot himself in the leg.
According to sources, when authorities arrived on the scene they found a small stash of weapons tucked away in the back of the gentleman’s vehicle along with several documents involving radical Islamic groups.
The man was later identified as Sid Ahmed Ghlam, a 24 year old IT student with an apparent obsession with radical Islam.
Ghlam’s arsenal had been discovered solely by chance after he called an ambulance stating that he had been shot and wounded in an armed robbery that took place at his Paris home.
However Police ended up discovering his arsenal along with detailed plans to attack 1 of 2 churches.
As if that were not enough, DNA evidence was also uncovered linking the man to the murder of a woman who was gunned down in her vehicle over the weekend.
However the suspect was admitted to a Hospital after being arrested and is now awaiting trial.
