KIM DAVIS: Kentucky Clerk in Gay Marriage Case now RELEASED from Jail [VIDEO]

Kim Davis Released

According to reports, Kim Davis, The Christian clerk who was jailed in Kentucky for refusing to issue same-sex marriage licenses, was released from jail on Tuesday.

U.S. District Judge David Bunning ordered her release after six days in Jail. However the judge ordered that the conditions of her release are these:

  1. Kim Davis “shall not interfere in any way, directly or indirectly, with the efforts of her deputy clerks to issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples.”
  2. County Clerks will give a 14-day update on Kim’s compliance with these regulations

The Court order proceeded to say that should Davis defy these orders, her behavior would count as a violation of the Court order and the appropriate sanctions would be taken in response to her defiance.

Christians Rally Around Kim Davis:

At an event promoted by Governor Mike Huckabee, Christians rallied just hours after the news of her release to show their unwavering support.

After being met by a barrage of claps and applause, Davis burst into tears.

“I am totally overwhelmed by this show of support” said Davis to the crowd. “I first must give thanks and praise to God Almighty (applause) — He is my strength — He is my comfort” she continued.
