U.S. Coalitions “Accidentally” strike Syrian Army

Under the command of President Obama, a US-led coalition carried out an airstrike against ISIS in the Syrian Province. However when the missiles struck the ground, the only ingredient missing from the attack location — were ISIS fighters.

Unfortunately, although there were certainly soldiers in the area, these soldiers were aligned with both Russia and Syria and were close to defeating the ISIS militants near the region (Deir ez-Zor).

According to reports, The US-led airstrike stunningly left 50+ Syrian soldiers dead and 100+ wounded. However when pressed on the issue — Washington responding, stating that the Syrian soldiers were mistaken for ISIS militants. However the Central Intelligence Agency was not blamed for providing bad intelligence.

As reported by RT:

“Moscow has called an urgent UN Security Council meeting after US-led coalition hit Syrian forces, killing 62 soldiers and wounding 100 more. The Russian FM spokeswoman blasted Washington over the indiscriminate airstrike that she said serves the interests of ISIS terrorists”

The Foreign Ministry has demanded full and detailed explanation from Washington over the incident in Deir ez-Zor, in which 62 Syrian troops were killed and over 100 injured.

Moscow stressed that it is concerned by the US airstrike targeting the Syrian army units which had been destroying Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) militants.

The ministry added that the Russian side had never been notified of US plans to carry out bombings in the Deir ez-Zor area.”

According to the Russian Reconciliation Center  in Syria, immediately after the “accidental” strike on the Syrian Army — ISIS militants began a strategic assault that nearly allowed them to regain formerly lost territory. However their advancement was halted thanks to Russian air-support.

“Immediately after the airstrike by coalition planes, Islamic State militants launched their offensive,” said Vladimir Savchenki, the Chief of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria. Implying that the US was indirectly helping ISIS.

His accusation was corroborated by Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova who stated:

“If previously we had suspicions that Al-Nusra Front is protected this way, now, after today’s airstrikes on the Syrian army we come to a really terrifying conclusion for the entire world: The White House is defending IS [Islamic State, formerly ISIS/ISIL],”

His accusation was further corroborated by the Syrian Minister of Defense, Fahd Jassem al-Freij who stated:

“[US coalition] strikes have cleared the way for ISIS fighters to take over Deir ez-Zor city now,”

Adding…

“It is only because of Russian Air Force support [that] the offensive of the terrorist group was stopped. We request that the air support for the Syrian armed forces be continued by the Russian air force in order to destroy the terrorists.”
