Rob Bell, former pastor of Mars Hill Church, has definitely raised some eyebrows for his ‘evolving’ version of Christianity and the Bible.
This ‘Pastor’ authored a book entitled “Love Wins” that not only questions the existence of the Christian view of ‘Hell’ — but also undermines the very words of Jesus in Matthew 25 concerning the sheep and the goats, and how one will go into everlasting peace while the other into everlasting punishment (prepared for Satan and his angels).
Bell and his wife (Kristen) recently appeared with Oprah on her “Super Soul Sunday” program where Bell suggested that the bible (as it is) is ‘Irrelevant’ in today’s evolving culture because it expressly identifies Homosexuality as ‘Sin’.
Bell’s support for homosexuality was not made public until 2013.
“I am for marriage. I am for fidelity. I am for love, whether it’s a man and woman, a woman and a woman, a man and a man,” he said. “I think the ship has sailed and I think the church needs—I think this is the world we are living in and we need to affirm people wherever they are.”

The interview started with Bell and Oprah discussing ‘The Zimzum of Love’, a book previously written by he and his wife about Marriage.
In the midst of the conversation, Bell and Oprah went off into a rant about things such as
Long story short it sounded like they were having some sort of a ‘New Age’ ritualistic seance. Honestly, I was surprised when they didn’t take off their clothes and run nude through the forest kissing and hugging the trees. (Weird right)
While listening to the couple talk, Oprah attempted to sum up what they were saying.
Here is what she said…
“So really what you are basically saying is that In every life experience there is an energy field created. because we are energy giving out energy, and you create an energy field. And marriage has its own energy field between two people.”
Now any true Christian would pause the tape right here and stop to examine this statement. It simply sounds a little too “Weird” to be accepted without examination.
However upon hearing Oprah’s summary, the couple just nodded and approved as if Oprah really was ‘enlightened’ to what they were attempting to share.
As the conversation progressed, Winfrey asked Bell’s opinion about the Church embracing homosexuality, to which he responded…
“We’re moments away. I think the culture is already there. And the church will continue to be even more irrelevant when it quotes letters from 2,000 years ago as their best defense,”
Bell’s wife chimed in on the issue by stating that all Churches who refuse to accept homosexuality are “Regressing”.
Stating…
“I think there are a lot of people, who as they see culture moving, their response is to dig in deeper, is to, like, hold their ground, fight against it, so I think that there are both things happening. There are churches that are moving forward into that area, and there are churches who are almost regressing and making it more of a battle.”
Thankfully, the true followers of Christ are not buying the garbage that Mr. Bell, his wife, and Oprah are trying to sell. The attempt to mix this ‘new-age’ nonsense with the word of God is a colossal waste of time.
God has purposely caused his word to stand opposed to all unrighteousness, which is why it is not widely accepted in today’s ‘Tolerant’ culture.
Yet you have people like Rob Bell who want to ‘reconcile’ the bible to fit today’s darkening culture, while simultaneously pretending to still be loyal followers of Christ.
(1 John 2:18 KJV) “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”
(1 John 2:19 KJV) “They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
The Bible foretold that many antichrists would come and attempt to lead many astray with false doctrines and doctrines of devils (1 Tim 4:1), and this is exactly what we see happening all around us.
According to Dr. R.C Sproul (Host of ‘Jesus changes everything‘ Podcast), Bell’s decision to stray away from the unfailing word of God has actually caused him to become ‘Irrelevant’ to the ministry of Christ.
Stating…
“The irony, of course, is that though he is sitting next to one of the most influential women of our day, Oprah Winfrey, though he is on national television making this claim, the irony is that this is how Rob Bell has made himself so unbelievably irrelevant,”
Continuing…
“When we push against the Word of God which is an immovable rock, sooner or later we will find ourselves cursing the Word of God, and spitting on it. And that is where Rob Bell has found himself,”
