Sometimes we get so distracted trying to find that ‘Big Moment’ that makes life worth living that we unwittingly miss out on the thousands of tiny (yet valuable) moments and experiences that truly give meaning to our existence.
Despite what some think, ‘Meaning’ will never be found in ‘Material’ things. It is only the sum of thousands of tiny ‘immaterial’ things accumulated over time that truly give ‘Life’ — it’s beauty.
However ‘Meaning’ is the moment you see your child take those first steps. It is that Christmas when everyone is just sitting around the house just laughing and watching movies. It is that Family reunion where your Uncle Richard Jr. says something so stupidly funny that you spit out your soda into your aunt Stacy‘s hair.
Those are the moments that make life worth living.
While surfing the web, I stumbled across a 4min video clip that I thought was pretty cool.
The clip was released by NASA and shows the ISS (International Space-station) speeding through Earth’s orbit picking up everything from city-lights (at Night) to Aurora Borealis, a natural phenomenon where colorful lights are beautifully displayed in the sky.
This video will probably give you a new perspective into the Beauty of Earth, However it is my deepest hope and desire that it will also give you a new perspective into the beauty of him that created it.
