HGTV Cancels TV-show | 2 Brother’s Christian Faith Cost TV-deal

brenhamsChristians under Fire

As is the common trend in today’s society, the world fights and protests for the rights of every American to have and express their own belief — Except for one group of people — Christians.

An upcoming TV-show by the brothers was canceled before it could even make it to your living room. This show was based on the lives of 2 humble brothers (David & Jason Benham) who pride themselves on being entrepreneurs and family men but most importantly –Devout Christians.

The show would include the 2 brothers helping families not only improve their lives, but they would help the families remodel their homes

According to our sources, the show was in mid-launch and almost ready to be broadcast all throughout America when an article was found written by one of the brothers where he expressed his biblically-based opinion on the homosexuality.

It wasn’t long until many pro-gay protestors took to the web and began attacking not only the brother’s Christian beliefs but as well as HGTV’s network. It is then that the network decided to cancel the show in hopes of avoiding the bad publicity that would be generated by this controversial topic.

What Did the Brothers have to say?

Despite the disappointing decision made by the HGTV network, the brothers responded as any respectable Christian men would — with Grace and Humility. In a statement made by the brothers, they said…

“The first and last thought on our minds as we begin and end each day is; have we shined Christ’s light today? Our faith is the fundamental calling in our lives, and the centerpiece of who we are. As Christians we are called to love our fellow man. Anyone who suggests that we hate homosexuals or people of other faiths is either misinformed or lying”

Freedom for All — Except Christians

I would like to say that this decision surprised me, or has even caught me off guard — But I am not surprised in the slightest manner. In the society that we live in, all people are allowed to openly express their faith (or non-faith) without fear of religious discrimination — that is, all people except Christians.

Everywhere we turn, people (usually Christians) who hold fundamental beliefs that were present even when the founding fathers drafted the first prototype of the United States constitution — are being persecuted, and attacked for their faith. And with each passing day we see this rope get tighter and tighter. In an attempt to protect the rights of others, the rights of Conservative Bible-believing Christians are being trampled upon and erased. In most middle-eastern countries, we see Christians and Jews harassed, attacked, imprisoned, and even killed for their faith. Unfortunately with each passing second — America begins to look more and more like these countries.

How much time is left before Christianity is Criminalized within the United Stated of America?

To the reader:

What are your thoughts? Do you think the brothers were right to stand up for their faith?
If so —
would you have done the same?

If not — With what don’t you agree?
