Ground-Beef: The ‘Cost’ of Inflation?

For years, Americans have heard of the growing plight of the U.S. and its rapidly declining Economy.

With the Federal Reserve continually printing ‘Phony money’ and with U.S. foreign policies that give our enemies a ‘safe-haven’ rather than a ‘headache’, we are presently living in a world where American dominance is challenged and where our own behavior threatens our National security.

However because most citizens are unable to see or feel the result of our declining dollar — they continue to write the issue off as ‘Unimportant’ or to ignore it entirely.

However they could soon experience this ‘Blow-back’ when attempting to purchase a ‘Big-Mac’ or a ‘Whopper’ in their local drive-thru.

As reported by CNSNews:

“The average price of a pound of ground beef climbed to another record high — $4.235 per pound — in the United States in January, according to data released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS).”

“In August 2014, the average price for a pound of all types of ground beef topped $4 for the first time, hitting $4.013, according to the BLS.”

“In September, the average price jumped to $4.096 per pound; in October, the average price climbed to $4.154 per pound; and in November, the average price climbed to $4.201 per pound. In December, the price declined slightly to $4.156 per pound. But in January 2015, ground beef hit the highest price ever recorded at $4.235 per pound.”

Now although $4.24 may not seem like a big deal to some, when you compare the price of a pound of Ground Beef today with it’s price just over a year ago — you will find that there was a significant jump.

Again as reported by CNSNews:

“A year ago, in January 2014, the average price for a pound of ground beef was $3.467 per pound. Since then, the average price has increased 22.2 percent in one year.”

“Five years ago, in January 2010, the average price of a pound of ground beef was $2.279, according to the BLS. The price has since climbed by $1.956 per pound, or 85.8 percent.”

— If the price of a pound of ground-beef has increased roughly 86% in roughly 5 years (currently $4.24 / pound) then what will the price be in 2020 (5 years) if this trend continues?

Answer: Roughly $6.20

However if we assume that this trend will continue (as it probably will), we find that the price for a pound of ground beef will increase to roughly $8.16 in 2025 (10 years).

So although some of you may feel that $4.24 is not very significant today, will $8.16 be significant ‘Tomorrow’?

This is the result of Inflation, you spend more — and get less.

Economy: America in Decline?

For most people, the concept of inflation is kinda hard to grasp.

I mean we often hear people talking about it on the news, however because we feel like we need a Degree in Economics to even understand the subject — we tend to ‘leave that up to them folks in Washington’.

However this is partly why we are in the predicament that we are in today.

Most Americans don’t know how the Economy operates and as a result they often don’t know enough about it to realize that something is going horribly wrong with our Nation’s financial standing.

As [accurately] stated by Albert Einstein:

“We cannot solve our problems using the same thinking that created them”

Likewise, although it would definitely be a rough road — America could undoubtedly fix our broken Financial system.

However this would involve Americans on both sides of the isle (Dems/Repubs) banding together and immediately (and permanently) dismantling and eliminating the factors and ideologies that played a role in creating the ‘Mess’ that our Economy currently wallows in.

Unfortunately both political parties are so busy fighting each other that they are losing sight of the the most important thing. Furthermore our nation and its policies are collapsing as a result.

The current condition of America verifies of  words of Jesus:

(Mark 3:24 KJV)  “And if a kingdom be divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.”

However in regards to politics, the goal should not be about getting votes or earning seats. Furthermore it should not even be about getting ‘elected’.

However it should be about Securing America for future generations.

Everything else is simply a ‘Vehicle’ to accomplish this objective.
